Here is another regarding tent revivals. These are services held outdoors in a circus-style tent and are held in the evenings. The intention is to "re-vive" (bring new life) to the faithful and encourage people to make a greater commitment to their faith.

Also on Youtube, you can watch an evangelist named Benny Hinn. He claims to be a vessel of the Holy Spirit who delivers people from the Devil. Others call him a liar and a con-artist. Watch him and tell us what you think.

I think building gorgeous structures for worshipping is good for encouraging people to come to God’s place. I think when people come in, they will be reminded of God and they will start to judge themselves about what they have done or what they will do. But if some people start to take advantage of visitors’ feelings and take money from them, that would be wrong. I’m trying to say that conning is wrong, not giving to charity.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it does not matter size of the church since you come here not to the party, to pray, to be with the God.
ReplyDeleteIf you remember in the past all churches was similar, they was not too big and inside very nice, beautiful. Like if you would tourist and have visited church, for example in Russia, you would a bit understand the culture and architecture of that region. So, main reason to built a church was provide people the place to pray, to share your feeling, understanding with another peoples, to become a family.
I think Megachurches started to be built only at the middle of 20t century. There a lot of sect and they build churches like at the video, which financed by not good guys (like mafia). Main purpose of this sect is to find people in a depression, who has been a lot of years not in a good situation (I mean financial, family problems)and make them believe that sect will help them. After the person become a dissent, bad guy uses hypnosis and make a dissent to bring them money and etc.
I don't believe that usual church will have money to build Megachurch. Since it's exist on a voluntary basis.
