Here are some guidelines for writing your film review:
You can write about Ed Wood, a movie that you see this weekend or your favorite film of all time. It can be an American film or one from your own country. It doesn't matter to me.
Include 3 participle clauses (eg. "Starring Johnny Depp in the title role, Ed Wood....)
Hit as many different aspects of the film as you can: story, dialogue, acting, directing, music, cinematography, choreography, set, costumes, special effects... etc.
Use 6 different vocabulary words from p. 12.
Now you don't have to say it was thrilling if it wasn't. You might even say, "it was less than thrilling" or better yet, "It could have been more thrilling if...."
Structure:
1. Facts
2. Summary of the plot (but don't give away the ending)
3. Impression
4. Recommend for whom?
If you would like to watch some of the real Ed Wood's movies, you can go to YouTube and search for Glen or Glenda, Plan 9 from Outer Space, Pull the String! or The Haunted World of Ed D Wood Jr.
Good luck.
Starring Hiroshi Tamaki and Aoi Miyazaki, Tada kimiwo aishiteru is Japanese movie which the meaning in English is "I just love you." Told in a series of flashbacks, this 2006 romantic movie shows pure first love story. Based on the story by Takuji Ichikawa, his story is always pure story. Shinjo was a director, Kenji Bando was a screenwriter and Hiroshi Ikese was a composer.
ReplyDeleteHiroshi Tamaki played Makoto and Aoi Miyazaki played Shizuru.
Makoto met Shizuru who has a individual look at university’s entrance ceremony. He wasn’t sociable but he could naturally open out to only her. His hobby is taking a picture so she began to learn about photography since she wanted to be with him. One day, she said that she wanted to take a picture which they kiss for competition. This kiss was the first for them. However, she disappeared in front of him after that.
All things; story, dialogue, acting, directing, music, cinematography, set and costumes are very simple so you can’t be confusing. This is very pure love story and its dialogue doesn’t have some bad languages. The cinematography is also simple but it’s very brilliant. In the forest scene was my favorite one. It describes the most of nature. In addition, Shizuru’s growth was interesting because her look of before and after is very different. Before look was cute but after look was very beautiful. This movie let us remember about first love.
I recommend this to all who like romance. It can’t be boring and tedious. It isn’t mushy and just made you happy.
Taken
ReplyDeleteStarring with Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Taken is a French movie.
The movie is about a former spy who relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter who has been forced into the slave trade. The movie covers a hot topic too, kidnapping young women to force them into prostitution and all the business this involves. So the former spy has to come to Paris to find his daughter, who seems to be in a prostitution ring, drugs etc..
I was certainly excited by the preview and was hoping for a solid action film. I was in no way disappointed. Because in this movie, you can't be bored, you have no time for sleeping, always something is happening! So this is a brilliant movie. But it could have been more thrilling and exciting if there would have put stronger enemmies. I found this action to be a lot more credible than James Bond…
The movie is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, sexual content and some drug references. And I recommend this movie for all the person who like action movies, with guns, violence etc..

ReplyDeleteStarring Johnny Depp as George Jung and directed by Ted Demme, Blow is a 2001 drama about the American cocaine smuggler George Jung.
ReplyDeleteBased on a true story, he starts off selling weed. He is soon jailed and meets Diego who offers him alot of money by selling cocaine.
He eventually becomes known and infamous for his cocaine selling. Then he must come to terms with his wife leaving him and trying to keep promises to his daughter he cannot keep. He promised to take his daughter to California but he couldn't because he was caught commiting a crime movement and he was put in jail, and he never saw his daughter again.
I think the life of George Jung is very good projected on the screen, the acting and the directing are amazing because Johnny Depp was really believable. The director shows the most important details of the life of George, since he was a youth and when he starts the business and how he met all the persons around the business especially for the money.
I recommend this to all who like drama, It can't be tedious is a great movie to have a great time.
